Symptom spotting. A waste of time?

I just posted a similar post. I spent this month doing it, convinced it was different and today my period arrived....and early. I know I need to just stay calm and stop reading into things too much. But easier said than done right!!

And does anyone else find it’s hard as there’s no one to talk to (except maybe here). I haven’t wanted to tell my friends/family I’m ttc as it feels like more pressure, also I feel like as to my DH gives him hope which I’m not sure is fair.

Here with you all to avoid ss from now on!!!

I stopped SS by cycle four and only did a test because I had this strange orange/rusty type tinge to CM on CD28. I never spot or anything but bought a test and did it the next morning and it was positive. I had no idea.

The cycles before I was convinced I was having symptoms and was pregnant and the one month I put anything remotely like a symptom down to normal aches and pains I was pregnant. Sadly, it didn't end well but now TTC again.

I personally make note of symptoms that I can't ignore just so I can rule them out in other cycles. I don't go searching for symptoms any more just makes me insane

I'm on cycle 19 of TTC and as anti-SS as they come, purely because I've been pregnant for almost 2 yrs according to the array of symptoms I've experienced so far hahahha!

I agree with what Dodsy said that the month you feel nothing is the month you'll probably end up getting that :bfp:

Every times Iv had symptoms they’ve been AF signs and no symptoms when I’m pregnant so less is definitely more for me!!

I think I’ve had every symptom there could possibly be during the last 2 years of ttc and I’m still not pregnant....so no, I don’t take any notice of ‘symptoms’ anymore...it was fun in the beginning but now it just makes af so much harder to cope with. xx

I have to admit.. if i was in 2ww i would be thinking im pregnant right now, makes me realise how unrelated it it.. basically today i had food adversions to point where had to force myself to eat, and i am shattered and i have super achy arms. all i had in my last 2ww and all i was sitting there so convinced well this is new so must mean etc etc...
i just realised nothing is clear symptom wise for pregnancy or non pregnancy. someone told me all is similar as its actually progesterone causing it whether pregnant or not.
progesterone has caused me to feel 'wet' down there, produce more cm etc NOT a baby.
I am going to attempt to NOT symptom spot this 2ww and be more logical with thinking.
so yes! i think its a huge waste of time! haha.

oh, to add, with my blood tests i had a progesterone check at day 5 (dunno why) it says level is 1miu or however its written, and that range needs to be 30ml or above to show ovulation has occured. So if you think about it.. thats a LOT of a hormonal increase, no wonder we have 2ww symptoms!

*copied and pasted from my results*
PROGESTERONE
PROGESTERONE 1 nmol/L
Progesterone levels greater than 30 nmol/L suggest
ovulation has occured. Samples should be
"mid-luteal" e.g. day 21 of 28 day cycle.
DAY OF CYCLE 21
