Any tips or remedies for reducing swollen feet and ankles ladies!

I've had them propped up on my gym ball all evening with bags of ice hanging from my toes but hasn't made a dent in the swelling. Feel like my toes are going to explode!

Lie down and prop your feet up on the arm of the sofa - your ankles need to be higher than your heart to allow fluid to drain. Possibly cold flannels?

Unfortunately they may not go down much, mine didn't!

Make sure your feet are up high. They say level or up higher than your heart. Also rotate your ankles to try get things circulating. If they dont go down any id definately contact the midwife just to be on the safe side xx

Thanx ladies - feet are now higher than my heart so fingers crossed!

I'm confident that its just water retention, I have no other symptoms and feel well enough in myself! Perhaps my little trip traipsing around London wasn't the best idea!

Regular breaks missy! Rest as much as you can with your feet up and hopefully itll prevent it in future :) id eefinately bring it up if it keeps happening xx

Mine get a bit swollen by the end of every day - keeping them elevated is the only thing I can suggest (and getting a begrudging hubby to give you a nice foot massage  doesn't really help swelling but feels lovely!) I mentioned to my midwife yesterday and she said perfectly normal - even the fact I've had to remove my wedding rings too.
Xxx
