Swollen down there - eek!! (TMI)

Ok so this is really embarrassing but I have to know if it's normal!! For the past few days I've noticed that things down below have become rather sollen - it's not painful as such but it does feel uncomfortable at times. Pretty positive it's not an infection - discharge is normal colour and doesn't smell - so my question is what's causing it? Is it just one of the delights of pregnancy that no one tells you about? I know I shouldn't but feel a bit embarrassed speaking to doctor about it x x

It could just be due to increased blood supply down there-all the vessels swell slightly. Nothing to worry about xx

Yup - I think I've had this for weeks and weeks too! I've noticed it when I'm washing down there - I thought it was my imagination but now you've said the same thing I'm convinced that I've been swollen down there for ages! I think it's also having an impact on sex as well because sometimes it feels a bit painful and like you I don't have an infection or anything.

Yeh, I've had this for ages now hun. All swollen, but not sore though. Just feels weird and looks abnormal But seemingly its nothing to worry about and is due to the increased blood flow. However, if its really worrying you or you aren't sure about it, always speak to your MW or Doc about it for reassurance. x

I've not had it but i've heard its very common in pregnancy, increased blood flow, I wouldn't worry unless its infected or sore.

Ah thanks so much girls what would I do without this forum! Sounds like it's all normal then.... am having a bikini wax next week reckon she'll want extra wide wax strips!! Lets hope she doesn't charge me extra lol
