I have slowly over this really hot period grown myself some huge fat ankles.
Now i read that it's water retention and that I'm suppose to put my feet up above heart level to ease the swelling, but that isn't advise that is good for varicose veins of which I have many also I have a two year old so even sitting with feet up for a few minutes is really difficult .
They ache alittle by the evenings but not overly painful but they look awful . :eh:
Do you think that may be I need to cut down my water intake or will that make no differenance at all the retention problem?
I would love to hear what you think , thanks very much. xx

i'm pretty sure that the advice is to actually keep your water intake up, as it helps your body remove excess fluid. The other thing you could try is wearing support tights/socks and get someone to massage your ankles from your ankles towards your knee

yeah they say to drink more water to relieve it, not sure hw it works. Maybe you could get some dvt stocking id ask mw or gp xx

I've put my dvt stockings on and they feel good at the moment we'll see if they make a differance in the morning I only have one pair so I will have to take them off for a while to wash them. Thanks for your advise . xx

not sure your meant to sleep in them x

Why would that not be a good thing then? they're the proper surgical ones from the hospital I thought your surpose to wear them for as long as possible, xx

I got mine from the hospital and was told to wear them when I'm in bed :)
I should really dig them out and wear them actually cuz my ankles and feet are starting to balloon x
