Is it normal to get some swelling at this stage of pregnancy
Im so paranoid about Pre-Eclampsia (SP), but dont want to call the midwife unnecessarily.
Ive noticed swelling in my feet today.....

I've had (slightly) swollen ankles/feet for weeks but not really badly swollen - just have big dents in my legs if I have worn socks. But as far as I know slight swelling is normal.

You may have been overdoing it, but do keep an eye, especially if your BP is high.
If its any consulation after a quickie round morrisons my feet looked like two baked potatoes, with little chipolatas stuck on them. :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You make me laugh Anna
Its like Emma...looks like I have been wearing socks and its only very slight swelling...so hopefully I will be ok.

It should be OK hun i've not even mentioned it to my M/W come to think of it

I know what you mean about worrying though about PE on Saturday I had a headache and didn't feel very well and convinced myself that was what was up with me. But my BP has been low throughout and my water samples have been clear but i stil ended up panicking.

I think it is quite normal (I have been reading about this today), but if you are concerned, it certainly wont hurt to get it checked, especially if they are getting worse or you have other symptoms.

I noticed I had swollen feet for the first time last night (hence reading about it). I think I was sat in one position too long without putting my feet up. They went down after a night's sleep.

makes sense HappyBunny...
I have been sat at my desk all day and have nothing to elevate my legs...
come to think of it, this place should have done a facilities assessment and they havent - SODS!

My BP was a little high when I went to my 36 week MW app last week and had slight swelling in my fingers (I cant wear my wedding ring) but my wee was clear...so I dont know.

I will keep an eye and if it gets worse I will give her a ring (if its before my next app).

Thanks girls

I'll never forget the picture Squiglet posted at the end of her pregnancy of her swollen feet and ankles! I'd never seen anything like it - the poor woman!

oh yes I remember that.....
Mine are nothing like that so I shouldnt really be complaining

I've been getting swollen feet and ankles at the end of the day for the past week or so. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
I think if you get swelling in your fingers it can be a bad sign

oh sh*t!
my fingers are worse than my feet - I cant wear my wedding ring - it wont even go on past my first knuckle

It's probably nothing to worry about but I'd give your midwife a call to be on the safe side   I know mine always asks if I've had any swelling in my fingers everytime I see her so I guess it's something they like to know about

thanks
she did write "slight swelling in fingers" on my notes, but I will mention it again if it gets worse

Thanks everyone, I feel a bit more at ease now :)
