My girlfriend gave birth this morning. Just before she went into labour they noticed a swelling on one of her buttocks. The swelling has got bigger throughout the day, and her thighs are really swollen now. All day she said she can hardly move her legs, and her arms really ache. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be. I thought water retention but apparently you get that after labour, not before.
