Sweep?

Hi there.... Its my due date today and still no baby... its my second pregnancy and really thought I would have had her by now, I was early with my first pregnancy, Anyway I'm seeing midwife 2moro.. do you think she will offer me a sweep? I'ii only be 1 day over due so I'm guessing maybe not? and also has anyone ever had one done? sorry for all the questions x x

I am 3 days over now and seeing midwife thursday so will be 5 days and she has offered me a sweep then. Not looking forward to it but better then this waiting!!

This is my second baby too and like you i am very shocked cos Ellis was 2 days early.

its sooooo annoying isnt it!! xxxxx

Hi keely.. so glad I'm not the only one!...lol yeah my little girl was 2 days early too.. so was really expecting to have this one early... i suppose every pregnancy is different.. I get on quite well with the midwife so I might just ask her 2moro by the way hope your sweep goes well x x

my next midwife appointment isn't till im 41 weeks and 2 days, seems ages away, that will be for a sweep if im still here (hopefully not ) I had a sweep with my 1st when i was 8 days over, then she was born 2 days later. good luck

as everything in pregnancy, its not very dignifying and not very comfortable. i bled a bit after mine as well

Hi I was given a sweep at 40+1 with my last baby. It was the consultant that offered and gave it.

yep it isn't, the finger one anyway they really do jam there fingers up there and you might bleed as well

Well i had the sweep done today... it was not that bad uncomfortable but not to bad... fingers crossed it will work... she said they work well with second preganancy... trying not to get my hopes up.

you never it could be soon, i was 2cm when i had my sweep, i was in labour when doctor did my sweep.

i think you'll be in labour by the end of the day, it's still early

well so far I have had a show and back ache but nothing else been walking round the flat like a nutter to get things going... my OH thinks I have gone loopy!! lol

hi neeko yep I have a mate who will come on here for me if anything happens.. Thank you cant really go out for a walk as I;m cooking...lol but i'm walking around the flat.. my little girl keeps saying mummy your gonna get really tired doing all that walking!! lol
