Hi everyone

Ive swaddled my LO since he was new born, he loves it and it's the only way he will sleep well, recently he's been getting out of his swaddle at night and can't get himself back to sleep until we go in and re swaddle him! he's 3 month old tomorrow so I'm thinking its time to get rid of the swaddle and use sleeping bags.

Do any of you swaddle still at this age??
What sleeping bags are best for winter??
Any tips on how to do this??

thank you xxx

I swaddled my little boy until he could get out of it. Was just before he hit 3 months also. We put him straight into a 2.5tog grow bag and he didn't seem to have any problems. With my eldest I used 2.5tog most of the time. Just a 1tog on the really hot days. Iv also got the gro suits. They have extra padding on the arms for the colder nights. I don't think they recommend swaddling after 3 months xx

Yes, you shouldn't swaddle after 3 months, to do with their growing hips i think. I used the swaddle up to transition my lo into sleepsuits. After the swaddle up I tried the grobag but my lo is a side sleeper and the grobag has a zip on the side so that would dig in but the reason I didn't replace it was cos he rolls around so much he'd get it twisted all round himself. We co sleep and it used to drive me mad lol. Now he sleeps in a vest and sleepsuit.

I swaddled my baby up to 6 months old. Otherwise she kept waking herself up with their hands (moro reflex) and sleeping bag didnt help with this. Check out Swaddly, it helped us a lot. My little one is very wiggly and was getting out of every single swaddle i tried, swaddly saved my life, my best buy! I think i got it on ebay sometime ago

Thanks for your teply hun, I stopped swaddling him at 3 months I was very lucky he just took to his sleeping bag xxx

I swaddled my lo up to 7 months with Swaddly, she just loved it :) then 1-2 days i swaddled just one hand and then moved her to sleep on her own just under blanket
