Swaddling Blankets

hi - sorry if this has already been spoken about in a different thread but can anyone advise is it worth getting one of these for my baby who is due soon. If so can anyone recommend any particular make

I bought two of these from Boots and never used them - baby much prefers a sleeping bag!!

But I've heard some newborns like to be swaddled. My little miss likes to have her hands free (to scratch her face / wave around / sleep with them up in the air in comedy fashion) at all times.

Might be worth buying one and seeing how it goes?

I got huge muslins from Big Muzz for swaddling but LO likes to have her arms free too. I can use them for lots of other things so I haven't wasted any money by buying them.

connor hates being swaddled - he's far too wriggly! we just use sleeping bags too

Yep my little one is exactly the same, i had to ditch the moses basket also as she now likes to sleep with arms and legs spread out

Swaddling blankets are a complete waste of money, dont buy them hun - gro bags are much nicer! or of you want to swaddle use a pram sheet or something.

We bought 2 from BabiesRUs but to be honest, they were a waste of time. Luke managed to get his arms out all the time and it just made him get upset half the time so I'd recommend GroBags more.
