Well...
Last night surpsied me a little bit tbh!
My OH adores our little bump and can't wait to be a daddy but never thought hes be hands on while I was pregnant or even be bothered really until it's born...

My friend offered chewing gum out last night and I went go go have one and my OH was like "NO! you're not allowed it", I was like "why!!?" (mw hadn't said anything about not having it so I was confused!). And he said, "You can't have it cause your stomach thinks you're eating and opens up, so the baby thinks you're eating but your not." I was like oooo "how do you know that" and he piped up. "Good what he internet can tell you innit"

Just shows my OH had been sneakily reading up about the bubba and me, which made me feel really good!
Has anyone else heard of this chewing gum thing!? 'Cause I haven't!.

Aw - nice to know he is thinking of you both!

Heard about chewing gum preparing your belly for food, but never in terms of babies.

My OH read a book about pregnancy from the mans-side, he came away from it learning that he is not allowed to complain about little things "ooooo I'm tired today", "ooo there is so much to do" etc. Because the woman will be feeling a lot worse :D

Oooo. Might have to get him looking for books like that, he wants to get the Haynes guide to babies... Lol. Typical man!

it s so nice when oh gets involved and reads up x

I heard the chewing gum thing but never heard its bad in pregnancy - I chew it all the time.
Its bad for your pancreas or something because ur body is getting ready to digest food, but no food is digested.

I don't think I'll allow that to put me off though lol x

Ive not heard about the chewing gum either, ive been chomping on ginger gum for morning sickness & really like it still so I've kept buying it!

Awwww!!! That's so sweet, I came downstairs on Sunday morning had a lye in and my boyfriend said he had been looking online and picked the baby's bath... I was about crying, was just nice to see him taking an intrest and reading reviews online at what's best xx

Awww that's lovely :D so lovely when OH is getting involved x x

We have a baby book and every Sat my OH insists we sit down and read the 'what's happening this week with your baby' section, which I think is cute. He has also started a daddy blog online!! Not sure this constitutes 'reading up' on the subject but at least he isn't denying what's about to happen!!

So sweet he's taking an interest and thinking of the baby. I bought my hubby 'the expectant fathers survival guide' a few months ago and it had stayed under the sofa barely opened until last week when i was away overnight and I text him to see what he was up to and he said he was reading the book!! He picked up some tips and when I came back he was wanting to listen to my tummy cos the book said he might be able to hear babies heartbeat!!

I havent, but if your partner is been very supported like mine is too i got him a little something off baby that i am gonna give him when baby is born saying 'proud daddy' and another top saying 'i'm the daddy' with a baby on it. i also have one for baby saying 'i'm the little brother' and one for my daughter saying 'i'm the big sister' he doesnt know about any of them i hope it will be a nice surprise for them all x

Ah that's very sweet hun. My OH's mate gave him a baby book when we announced the pregnancy and every so often my OH will come out with random facts. The other day he proceeded to tell me all about breast feeding. He's definitely getting more excited now he can feel the little man kicking. He's not usually a very emotional person but the other day he told me he can't wait for the baby to arrive and he's looking forward to having naps together on the sofa, was very sweet xxx

I think with men it's the little things thta mean the most to us..

The other day also my OH and my male best mate were talking, and our other friends little girl was crying her eyes out and my Best mate was like "Haha you've got all that to come" to my OH in a sarcastic way and my OH piped up "yeah I know, and I can't wait"...
My best mate was a bit like was that sarcastic or not and OH was like no, I genuinely can't wait.

<3 bless him xx

Aww, me and hubby went out shopping today and were looking in babies r us at stuff and he came back with a buggy and a car seat specialist and took me outside to see if it all fitted then bought it for us. He then kept looking at the car seat in the back of the car and saying 'can't wait to have our baby in there'. Made me really smile :) I know it's early days but it's lovely of him and I'm not superstitious so all is good :) x
