was just wondering where people normally shopped and was you pleased with them, and do you do it on line?
we normally go to asda, in store, or online, and try and be organised and do it online every week, but i can never find a free delivery code :shakehead:
and i was wondering what other's think of where they shop!
i've never shopped on line for anyone else, but do sometimes go to tesco's!

OH used to use Tesco online but he said he got loads of substitutions and the dates were crap. I'd never used online shopping because I am total date freak! I like to get the stuff with the best dates from the back.....
BUT I have to say Ocado is incredible. A bit more money but we throw nothing away any more and by not going to the store we dont throw extra bits in obviously.
We have a Tesco less than a mile away so we do sometimes go there for convenience although this week (we've had Ocado for the last 2 weeks so we're havng a week off) we will be going to Morrissions. I am so impressed with them. They are definitely cheaper overall but the fruit and veg cant hold a candle to Ocado for freshness. I love Sainsbugs but the closest one is tiny and we cant get the choice we can just round the corner at Tesco - as much as it kills me to go there as I HATE Tescos for taking over the world...or so it feels like sometimes!!

Sainsburys offline, it's the closest, but we go to Asda once a month to get nappies and stuff so do a shop then.

Online I use Tesco x

I haven't voted, I use Asda and Tesco, I like certain items from each. I have used Tesco online a few times in an attempt to eat healthy and save money but I prefer to shop instore x

Asda (online & instore) or Morrisons, because thats all we have in our town :)

For our main shopping we go to Sainsburys but there's a big Asda in town (much closer but a nightmare to park at) so if I just need something quickly I'll go there. They're just about to open a massive new Sainsburys there too though :D

I never do food shopping online because I love going to the supermarket  ...means I end up spending so much more than I should though

Again Weirdo

I hate it, which is why I'm in and out within 40 minutes for a weeks shop  Clothes shopping yes, food shopping :wall:

thanks ladies! it's good to hear what others think
as we're in a village we don't really have anything in walking distance, which would be nice just to pop in out of! but we do have huge sainsbury's, asda and 2 tesco's and an m&s in town, so all in 10-15min's drive away. sometimes i feel like it's too much choice
lisa - i'd heard of Ocado but never used them, off to investigate now! thanks for that hon!
i'm never sure if i like food shopping or not. i think i go through phases, sometimes i think, yeah it's good and go every week or so to the store and then i go through phases where i think, oh gosh i hate it! delivery time (like the last few weeks )

Ocado is Waitrose hun. The beauty of Ocado is they dont get the shopping from your nearest Waitrose. They have a massive warehouse and you order it, they pick it and send it over night in tubs with your colour coded carrier bags on massive refrigerated juggernauts to local depots. Then it goes on the little vans you see about which are refridgerated too and arrives at your door. Because it comes direct from the warehouse to you rather than from the warehouse to the store then getting picked and packed, it means it's all loads fresher and you get better dates on everything :D

oh wow! well i never knew that! what a clever idea! that sounds fab :flower:

Does sound fab, shame they don't deliver to the wilds of haggis land

USually Tesco as its closest.
If i am in town then i often go in to Waitrose.

If we get Ocado we mainly get their own branded stuff as it's as good as branded and it keeps the overall cost down.

i LOVE grocery shopping!!!!! its my guilty pleasure on my day off :D

i put the kids in nursery and i go to morrisons on my own.. i can spend up to an hour in there!
if w're havin a busy week i do tescos online which is fabby too coz then i spend an hour online doing it!

My hubby love it too....I'm not fussed either way....we had 2 weeks of Ocado so tonight he's off to Morribobs coz he's having withdrawals....

Tescos online. I don't drive so can't actually get to the shops so have to have it delivered. Not had any problems though and been using them months xx

i go to tescos cos i get my discount  but i used to go to morrisons and it worked out cheaper than tescos,e ven with discount. now tescos is literally 4 minutes down the road (i timed once lol). and in the village we've got another tescos, 2 butchers, a fishmongers, 2 greengrocers, boots and superdrug. and a coop. so i dont really need to go to tescos, i could do it all in the village if i could be arsed!
