Hi girls, I've been off the forum for a few days as I've been down to Wales for a few days rest and relaxation!! On wednesday last week, I had a third scan and blood test to assess my risk for Downs. At the second stage test, I was classed as high risk and had to go to stage 3. I've been on tenter hooks all weekend and to be honest had managed to convince myself something must be wrong as most people don't have to go past stage 1.
This morning I had the call from the screening co-ordinator who after keeping me in suspense asking my date of birth etc... gave me the fabulous news that I am now considered low risk (1 in 340) good enough for me!!!(I am 36)
I am so delighted and can now finally start to enjoy my pregnancy. Pregnancy hasn't always been the happiest time for me and I so want this one to be enjoyable, now I can relax and start shopping.
Sorry to waffle on, just wanted to share my fabulous news after 4 weeks of waiting!!
