stupid online diagnosis!

just told me to call 999 im not that ill i can make a cup of tea (just! drains me tho! lol) and i can type in here it cant be that serious! my temp is 39.2 is that high for an adult? (used millie's dummy thermometer felt like a tit!) but i feel FREEZING and my head, neck, lower back, knees and ankles ache like a b*tch! dont feel like eating (not eaten since 1pm) and the wierdest thing is i keep leaking a tiny bit iv not done that since ages ago (just after my pelvic muscles got stretched by a little head lol!) oh and my eyes feel hot
what should i do really? im sure i dont need an ambulance!
but i need to get better by the morning else i wont be able to play with milliepops and if it gets worse might not even be able to look after her

need to get better QUICKLY! any advice please? oh im BFing so cant take loadsa medicine! actually is BFing safe?

Thats a really high temperature hun, what about calling out a locum from your surgery if you don't want to dial 999? I would be a bit worried!?

its 38.6 now. iv taken 2 co-codamols so will re-test in a bit. my mum said to hav a cold shower but cant bear to take my jumper off i feel soooooo cold! think im brave enough by resisting the heater and hot drink! im not worried coz i feel alert and stuff. just wanna feel better!

oh dear, sounds like you have the same flu that i had.

if you want the truth you will feel terrible for at least 4 days, the high temp day will be the worst (it was for me and manfluhead) your temperature may give you weird dreams, take paracetamol for that. if you werent breastfeeding i would reccomend day and night nurse tablets - they were a godsend with me.

you may be knackered and very congested and may need help with LO. it knocked me for six, ive lost half a stone and am only just getting my energy back, i got it over a week ago.

i really hope you feel better soon. i feel so sorry for you. try and sleep it off

oh, and my temp peaked at 39.1 but was only that high for a day, it crept down slowly. you need some paracetamol if you can take that when breastfeeding and drink drink drink

yup phone NHS direct i had a temp between 39-40 over xmas and left it until 9 of jan and i have whooping cough so always better to get things seen to straight away

sam you poor thing, my sis had that as a baby and she was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. blue lights and everything. i thpught it was a baby thing. hope you feel better soon too

hope you are feeling better, i went to the docs once with a temp of 103, they didnt seem that bothered, Take paracetemol, it wont kill much pain but its just about thebest thing going for bringing down a temperature. You can take ibroprophen also but i'm not sure what BFing effect this will have, drink loads of fluid, dont worry about not being able to eat too much, just eat what you fancy. keep yourself cool but not too cold as you wont be able to guage cold very well at the mo.

Get someone to come over and give you a hand with LO, if you still have a high temp after a day of serious rest go back to the docs

hi all, im feeling much better now. still feel unwell but better than i was! this morning felt like death, couldnt get out of bed but took 3 co-codamol and felt much better i can soldier on now! how strange. dont kno what it is! thanx 4 ur well wishes x
