Stupid midwife!

Well im 28 weeks now, should have had my midwife appointment by now... but hadnt heard anything. Only seen the stupid cow once and that was at 4 weeks She told me that she'd contacted me to arrange my 28 weeks appointment, but did she ...nope. So I decided to give her a ring yesterday to ask her what the hell she thinks shes playing at leaving a pregnant woman hanging. (in the politest way possible of course lol ) Her explanation for not contacting me at all she is 'Far to busy' arrgghh so I kept my cool, OH and I were very proud of the way I handled it. Up until shes gave me an appointment for 13th Sep ...by then I will be 30 weeks! So I gave her a piece of my mind and pointed out her inadequacys wished her a nice day and hung up. Turned to look at OH who by this time had his head in his hands and I said 'think I handled that rather well' lol

Anyone else had problems with their midwife?

That is disgusting, i used to see my midwife every 4 weeks then every 2 weeks towards the end

I'd complain really i would that is not on at all, i can't veleive you haven't been seen by anyone.

I am absolutely gobsmaked

My midwife seems to think that because this is my second that I dont have to see her as much. I asked her if she thought every pregnancy is different and she said 'of course it is' so I replied 'so how the hell can you compaire this pregnancy to my last. Just because the last pregnancy went smoothly, doesnt mean this one will' She told me she has been doing her job for nearly 10 years and is more qualified than I am. Yet she hasnt had any children.

Making my blood boil, want to scratch her eyes out.

Ok wel if that is the case then, I had an excellent pregnacy with Emily, had M?c then had OC with Jack so if your midwife was my midwife i dread to think what could have happened

silly bitch she is, surley you could conatct you Drs they alternate care at our surgery

I think you need to report her hun, go through your local patients advisary dept. The doctors surgery will be able to give you contact details for them.

thats terrible harley was my 2nd i seen the midwife every 4weeks from when i was 6weeks pregnant... COMPLAIN COMPLAIN

Yeah thats not right, you should have seen her at least 2 or 3 times by now. Shes just being lazy! I thought mine was bad, i have to go 12 weeks inbetween apointments. Makes you wonder what they actually do all day.

i put a post the other day about how much my mw is annoying me at the min, its like she cant be arsed and she doesnt listen to me at all stupid cow!!!

i got her chocs last time for looking after me and sophie so well, this time shes getting nowt but i good old slap in the mouth

Maybe thats what I did wrong, I didnt get her anything for looking after zack and I. I got the midwife etc that deliverd zack loads of chocolates... they helped me alot though.

Its crap now though. Ive hardly seen mine., From 16 weeks to 27 weeks i didn't see her at all.

When i had my first 9 years ago the quality of care was 100% better than it is now.

Im having to go down to the doctors next week anyway, dragging OH there because he doesnt feel well and doesnt want to go on his own ...so im going to have a word to the doctor then, try and work my charm lol

oh my god, ive had about 6-8 appointments cant really remember but you should have had loads by now! if i were you i'd change midwifes, coz she sounds shi*e! A urine sample must be checked at every visit, the hearbeat should be listened to at every visit, your tummy should be felt to see what position the baby is lying in, and measured to see how many weeks you measure up to etc...so i take it none of this has been done coz u only had 1 app at 4 weeks? sounds to me like she doesnt know how to do her job and she doesnt deserve to be a midwife, you see these student midwifes who work their arses off to do their job and regular midwifes who dont give a toss...

last time i was pg before i miscarried, when i started bleeding i couldnt even contact my midwife, the woman who's supposed to be there for you throughout pregnancy? yeah right...

This time the first midwife I had was crap so i changed dr's and got the same midwife as my sister, then i fell on my back really hard and was worried and then i couldnt contact her, and still cant contact her, so ive had to see 2 other midwives who are loads better, my midwife is still supposed to be the midwife that my sister had but she's been off ill for ages so the 2 good midwifes have told me to go back to them! Too much mither!
