especially this weekend, i know your not supposed to sleep on your back, my front is a no-no now with the bump, i lay on my right side mostly but been getting (i think it is) cramp all the way down my leg from my hip, i turn onto my left and its still there for ages :( i also get cramp in my calfs too so its really getting me down!!

This weekend has been a nightmare, saturday night i couldnt sleep at all, was in bed all day yesterday near enough (apart from trip to Maccy Ds!) - Missy was kicking ALL morning and all afternoon so couldnt sleep and last night didnt get much sleep hence bags under my eyes and me snapping today!! :(

Is anyone else having trouble sleeping????

ME

Well I'm not having trouble getting to sleep really... I'm so tired that I could fall asleep standing up. It's staying asleep that seems to be my problem.

I'm having to get up at least twice in the night for the loo and then it takes me ages to get back to sleep. I keep getting pains in my shoulders if I sleep on either side so the most I can manage on any one side is about half an hour before the pain wakes me. I've just decided to sleep on my back while it's comfy (at least I get a bit of sleep) my body has always woke me up to tell me to turn when I've needed too so I just make the most of any sleep I can get

 It doesn't get any better... :rotfl:

I can't remember the last time I slept through the night! I'll go for a wee, need a drink, just wake up for no apparent reason, uncomfortable blah blah - The list is endless!

I suppose in a way it's quite good because our body clock is preparing for when we'll not sleep well when babies are here!

Now I'm on maternity leave, I can cat nap during the day - but then I'm not really tired at night :wall: Vicious circle!!! x

Me :(
i dont think im gonna get a decent nights sleep now till hes born... oh yeah i wont then either . but ive even kicked OH outta the bed now coz he was " being too noisy and taking up too much room" :rotfl:

I'm up at least every hour during the night now for a wee! And normally get up for a bit at 6am then back to bed about 7am and for some reason can manage to sleep til around 12pm. The I doze on and off all afternoon and evening.

Still feel knackered though and am so glad I'm no longer at work :)

Me

Heartburn keeps me awake, then OH takes up the bed, Then i need a wee. I find i sleep better in the day when OH is at work.

Can't sleep on front for obvious reasons, can't sleep on back, can't sleep on my right as ribs hurt on right handside and can't sleep on left as hip cramps up after 10 minutes. I am soooo tired now that I sleep through the pain  . I'm sleepig better now than what I was earlier in pregnancy from sheer exhaustion.

I can't wait for baby to be born as at least I'll only be exhausted and not in pain also.

I can totally sympathise hun, getting comfy has been a nightmare the last few weeks.

I get about half an hour sleep on one side before my leg gets so sore from hip down that it wakes me up and I have to move to the other side, only for it to be aching half an hour later! I still sleep on my back too, don't think it's doing bubs any harm as they still kick away when I'm lying on my back. Lucky if I get an hours sleep like that though as legs go numb or get pins and needles and wake me up again!

Been even worse this last couple of weeks as I've got really sore around the pubic bone and trying to turn over in the night makes it so difficult and painful :(

I don't seem to be suffering too badly from the lack of sleep though at the moment so can't really complain, OH is suffering more with me shuffling about every half hour  Good practice for him for when bubs arrives!!!

I had that, it was bloomin awful now sleeping is REALLY good alkthough i still need to wee every 2 hours i just wake wee and back to bed. I actually find going to bed late has helped (i used to go at 10 or 11 now its 12 or 1) if i go early i dont sleep...

I can't sleep either, was just moaning on email to my friend, but it's pretty much the worst pregnancy side effect I have, I've been very lucky, so I can't complain. I would like a few good weeks sleep before never sleeping again! But, then I gues it would hit us harder?!

i cant sleep either, and i feel really guilty as i toss and turn and poor OH has to get up early.

its par for the course tho im afraid. i sleep better once OH gets up but if i lie in longer i can sleep the next night :wall:

I was really struggling to sleep and I kept getting lots of hip pain, I found the solution last night and I had the BEST night sleep in what feels like forever lol...why did I have to find the solution when I'm overdue :wall: :wall: lol I had a pillow inbetween my legs, one pillow on either side...I put my bump on top of the pillow if that makes sense...realised that the bump pulling down was creating too much pressure on my hips and really making them hurt. I'm almost hoping baby doesn't come just yet so i can enjoy a couple more good night sleeps before he comes :rotfl:

Look at the time... I spoke too soon, I went to bed soooooooooooooooooooooo tired yesterday at 11:30 and have been wide awake since about 1:20pm. This is pooty isnt it?
