Anything I can use to help prevent them??? I've notice some little stretch marks on my hips but now I'm worried they'll spread to my massive bump :(

The same happened to me sorry to say nothing stopped them and I got covered in them belly hips thighs etc! Mine I believe is genetic as my mum was the same.

They're genetic I'm afraid, not much you can do to prevent them. They fade to almost nothing post-bump though, hardly noticeable

Oh I see :(

I bought the palmers cocoa butter bump cream yesterday and it recommends to use it 3 times a day which I have done......if it doesn't work atleast I tried and it's relaxing :)

It does make me laugh when it says to apply 3 times a day (bio-oil does too).
Like I've got time in the middle of my day to strip off, cover myself in lotion and then wait for it to dry!
Never mind the cost, lol, I would go through a bottle a week! Hmm, maybe thats why they put it on the instructions, so you have to buy more...

My mum got awful stretch marks - I didn't with my first, but smothered myself every evening in something/anything, as long as it's moisturiser and it's getting massaged in, I don't think it matters.
I'm doing the same this time, but I'm a lot bigger and don't think I will be as lucky this time - but I will give it my best shot, even though by the end of it, I'm exhausted!

I've been alternating between using coconut oil and burts bees mama butter and so far the only stretch marks I have are the already existing ones on my hips and thighs feeling deeper but not necessarily more visible. None on my stomach yet this far - 34 weeks!

In the heat though I couldn't use it because I am constantly hot and can't bear to feel the lotion or oil on my skin...

I was fortunate and didn't get any in 1st pregnancy but i have experienced stretch marks before (i think back & legs). I used palmers on recomendation after my shower everyday but i don't know if it had an effect or just coincidence. Which reminds me to get some and repeat for this pregnancy Just in case!!xx
