Hello Ladies!

Have finally decided to post (I'm 11w5d) as I'm sure one of you will be able to answer this question! This is my 2nd preg (DD9yrs) I'm a size 22 and got strech marks during 1st preg that have now faded. Question is...will I get a second dose of strech marks?

Thanks for taking the time to read this - you're all great and I'm really pleased to be joining you! Ladybird x

OK, so I spelled stretch wrong...10.30pm is really late for me these days! Ooops!

Wow! Someone answered! Thanks!

I am enjoying the preg so far despite the usual worries! Can't wait until the scan on Tue, then I want things to slow down so I can enjoy them!

   for you too, and good luck with your pregnancy.

Thanks for your replies.

My DD was born at 33 weeks so I didn't get too huge with her. Hopefully with this LO I'll get a lot closer to 40 weeks. At least I know now more stretch marks are likely - it's good to be prepaired!

Hi Hun,

I believe that the main reason for stretch marks is that the skin in dehydrated so make sure you drink plenty of water throughout your pregnancy and also a cocco butter cream may help, ive started using one from mothercare specifically for stretchmarks :)

Hope that helps x

Thanks for that info.

I've got some Palmers coco butter, but so far although not unpleasant, I've found the smell a bit strong. I always have DD with me when shopping so haven't bought any preg related stuff. We're telling her today - she's 9! So I think we'll be hitting Mothercare on Sat now I've had my 12wk scan!

And I'm not a great water drinker, but what better reason!

Thanks!

I found Palmers Coco butter for stretch marks just make me :puke: (the smell of it for some reason) I usually like coco butter. Anyway I switched to bio oil, it's great although I do now (at 30 weeks) have marks appearing but I suppose it's all in a good cause, my pregnancy service stripes and my little boy will be more than worth a few marks, not like mummy was a supermodel before the pregnancy anyway!!

hi...
i've also started using the palmers cocoa butter even though its early!! i actually quite like the smell, its one of the few things i can stomach

Hi hun

I too am 11weeks with number 2. I got bad strech marks with my little girl, but only in the last few weeks. Im hopeing that I dont get more my chest and stomach already look like an A-Z.
