sorry iv posted so many threads about weaning coz iv just started it 2day! rly excited tho

iv got some ice cube trays 2 store my home-made mush, but can i also refrigerate it? if so, how long for?

also when im defrosting it, do i hav 2 just leave it out for 24 hours or heat it up, and how do i heat it up?

If I am keeping purees in the fridge then I only keep the meat ones for up to 24 hours and veg ones for up to 48 hours. If you are freezing your purees they will keep for months. I never defrost my purees first I just stick them right in the microwave and heat until fully defrosted and piping hot which doesn't take long.

I did the same as Gemma & Jake.

I found it easier to cook a batch - fill the ice cube trays and freeze (put the rest of the batch in the fridge for an hour or so until the 1st lot have frozen) then empty the frozen cubes into a freezer back and label them. Then could wash and reuse the icecube tray for the rest of the batch.

This way I could have a cooking session and do a fair bit and then I didnt have to do any more for a while.

This is exactly what I've been doing. I get a cube out the night before I need it and put it in the fridge. Then I microwave it for 8 seconds before I use it.
