Hi all. I can't help but feeling that my pregnancy so far has been too good to be true! I haven't really had any problems other then a couple of water infections. Yet I still panic something is going to go wrong! I just wish I could stop worrying! Ad is it true your meant to count 10 kicks per hour? I never really feel that but she does move around a lot then she will be still for ages! I think I'm just being paranoid. Xx

I think its natural anxiety hun - as for the kicks I think thats too many, the baby would never be sleeping if he/she kicked ten times an hour? Might be worth checking that one out :)

Keep positive!! That's half the battle. Believe you're going to have a lovely pregnancy and birth and you WILL! PMA is really important to help you have the experience you'd like to have.

It's not 10 kicks per hour hun or like RM said the poor bugger would never sleep! It USED TO BE 10 MOVEMENTS ( not necessarily 'kicks') per 12 hours but even that's not followed to the letter by the professionals. It's a rough guide but what they seem to say these days is get to know your LO's pattern and if it changes dramatically then it's work being checked. My LO is very active ALL day and quiet at night (another good sleeper I hope) so if that changed I'd keep an eye on it for a while then maybe have it checked. Remember the bigger they get the less room they have to move about too. :)

Yeah when i was in hosp hun they told me 10 movements per day. You at almost the same stage as me,

Evie moves a lot but her kicks arn't as frequent now, i think its the lack of room in there, but she is forever rolling around and my tummy is all over lol :)

Iv noticed more so lately she is very active in the afternoon and then sleeps then like clock work between 7 or 8 every night she starts going mad. By the time i go to bed she settles but can keep me up till all hours.

Are you noticing any routine hunni? and is urs more movements like mine?

xxx

I notice she moves when I eat anything or if I suddenly move. I get kicks and rolls I don't have any idea where she gets the room too she's bigger then she should be and I am still really small lol. Xx

oh thats not too bad then eh? im measuring at 34 hahaha, i shunt laugh its not bloody funny lol

xx

I think its normal to worry, i'm trying to worry less now and getting there i think. Like everyone else has said I don't think you could say each LO is the same, or generalise as to how many movements there should be. My little boy seems to have a pattern now too, he moves more in the afternoon and evening, he's responding to noises now too, so will start bouncing around if i put loud music on, especially if it has a base!

Oh I'll have to try the music Katiejane, that sounds like fun, playing with bubs a bit! I put on music but not that loud or basey. I was worried though that I'd deafen him/her with loud music, I suppose they have an extra large muffler aurrounding them!

Just another quick question is it normal for bubs to have the hiccups really often? X

Hiccups are normal and you can 'count' 1 bout of then as a movement :)
