Hi all, so I'm now 13 days since my last AF and have been having very faint (and I mean very faint) lines on my opk's!

My opk from this morning is much darker but not as dark as the control line just yet and I have also had some ewcm (sorry if tmi) so I'm guessing I'm nearly ov?

My iPad won't let me upload the image which isn't helpful! :-(

Am I right in saying that a negative is a negative when it comes to ov? Or does the line get darker as you get closer?

Sorry to sound silly but I just wanted to check!

Thanks! X

In principle negative is negative, but it could get darker as the surge starts, but throughout your cycle the levels of LH fluctuate, so you could go from light to darker to light to suddenly very dark (positive).

Thus graph shows it well, there is an upward trajectory before ovulation, but it does fluctuate

Thanks Delta! That graph is handy! I didn't realise it can change that much! Hopefully I'll ov soon so I can start that dreaded 2ww! (The worlds longest 2 weeks!) x

Shouldn't use OPKs in the morning, best to use late afternoon for accurate results as LH surges throughout the day xx

That's what I'm doing wrong then! Lol! I'll keep doing them after work instead! Worth a try! :-) thanks! X

Ah I hadn't spotted you said that! Optimum time is around 2pm, if you can manage to do it at work

yeh best time is around 2-3pm and also best to take at least 3 per day late morning, afternoon and evening to make sure you catch it xx

I didn't get a chance to do one at work today but am off tomorrow so will be a poas addict I think! :-)

I've just done another one and there was just the faintest of lines! I have been so positive this month but am starting to get a bit frustrated with my body now! I just want it to do what it should be doing!

Oh we'll! I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings! On a plus, me and the OH have been DTD every other night since the 5th and will be again tonight! (The poor lad!) lol!

Thanks for your help! X
