39 weeks today and still having contractions but no sign of baby

It seems I will just keep having them each night, gradually getting worse and then stopping altogether for eternity

come on little one - mummy wants to meet you

on the plus side had a massage today and it was heaven... my mum has booked me in for another one next Thursday so if I havent had the baby I will have it to look forward to

oh lovely, i love being pampered. Hope your contractions get a bit more regular...can i be nosey and ask what they feel like? Everytime i get a niggle, i wonder if it is one or a BH but i just don't know??

well im guessing thats what im feeling...

I have had braxton hicks for ages now and they just made my whole tummy go rock hard, now that still happens and it also becomes very painful right at the bottom of my bump, round to my lower back and down my legs a bit. Its like my whole bosy is involved in these ones. It just feels different to the braxton hicks i was getting but it could be them progressing and everything preparing for the main event!

Either way, Im trying to look positively on it and hope things are happening in some form.

Still the same...

went to sainsburies with hubby this morning and OMG the pains in my cervix stopped me in my tracks loads LOL.... people were staring at me waddling along and then leaning over in pain think they were frightened I was going to start shouting for towels and hot water

baby is still pressing down really hard on my cervix and gives me a jolly good kick into my ribs every now and then like it is going for lift off

come on baby - im ready if you are

I have been having pains every 10 minutes or so for the last couple of hours but now looks like it is slowing down

thought that was it

just wish I knew one way or another

im going to try and get some sleep now and hope i get woken up in pain - never thought I would say that lol

I'm still having regular braxton hicks, back pain and pain in my cervix but nothing to show for it...

hoping I am just having a long pre/early stage of labour and it will suddenly kick off

Ok so had a MASSIVE clearout about an hour ago

and now have strong braxton hicks, lower back pain and pain in my cervix....

urghhhh same time every evening it seems

will it ever start for real

Its so hard to tell if its real labour or not, to be honest the only way to tell is if they are regular and get stronger to a point where they are getting inbearable. It definately sounds like labour is close but how close is hard to tell, I had the same kind of pains your describing for a few weeks before I had ellie but its different for everyone.

I understand u must be really frustrated so hope things are moving for you soon

I had 4 days of what you are describing before Charlie was born! Afterwards the midwife told me his head was at a slight angle so wasnt pushing down fully on the cervix and that was why i was slow to dilate.

i had 5 days of this before my waters went, still had to be induced as well
