Steroid Injections

When my little guy was threatening to make an appearance on Wednesday night, I had the usual steroid injections (2 lots, 12 hours apart - which stung like hell) just in case he did arrive early to try and develop his lungs.

Thankfully he has decided to stay put for the time being

Question is, does anybody know if there are any other effects of the jabs ie if he stays in there til full term now, ie will he grow even bigger?

I had my growth scan yesterday and I am already showing as 2 weeks ahead... can you see why I am worried?

Just have visions of 'The Hulk Baby' growing in there now

Glad LO stayed put for you. I wouldnt know really as never had this, but surely LO will just have a good set of lungs on arrival. They should really explain everything when they do these procedures to you. Its not like you will have a list of questions to ask them when things like that are being done is it.

im not sure the steriods make babies bigger
i had these, emily was 8lb 4oz when she was born

all the steriods do is make the lungs develop quicker so they do stick together if the baby is premature
