Hi, Is there any particular make which is better than another or are they much the same. Want to buy this today before the VAT goes up tomorrow.

I have the microwave one and haven't used any other. I'm breastfeeding so only use it to sterilise expressing stuff. It takes 8 minutes in the microwave and you need to leave it to stand for a good 5 mins so you don't burn yourself. Doesn't sound too long but when you have a screaming baby wanting a bottle I can see it would feel like a lifetime. There must be a quicker one?

i've got an electirc tommie tippee one given too me x takes 5 - 8 minutes x even has a number on front to tell you when its done x

I've got boots own steam electric one takes around 7 mins, lets you know on the front when it is steaming, cooling, and when it's cooled. Its good and better then my named brand ones. x

I did have an avent electric one but it broke when charley was 2 weeks old! I did have it when Lacey was a baby though so it is 4 years old. I then got the avent microwave one and it's brill, very quick!

i use the avent steam 1 and always worked a treat for me

Did you get one? My mam suggested i get a steam one as she has found that its better.xx

Im getting the electric mothercare black pod one coz it looks really nice and keeps bottles sterilised for 48 hours its £50 normally but on sale for 30 something at the mo so going to get it tomorrow. With my first child I had a tomee tipee microwave one but it used to take a while with my second child I had the tomee tipee electric one and that was really good it was slimline aswel so it fit nicely in the kitchen without taking too much worktop space up x
