Does anyone know when you can stop sterilising? Im thinking in advance for when I go away in july, Ella will be 6 months wondering if Ill still need to sterilise then?

thankyou in advance xxx

they say untill 1yr hun.
i stopped when Dior was 11months.

thanks for your quick reply, looks like Im gonna need about 5 suitcases! I thought id read somewhere 6 months but I must have got it wrong because that seemed early.

Yeah milk bottles I would keep sterilising hun sorry. Other stuff like weaning spoons etc I tend to pour boiling water over.

Where are you going? Is there a microwave there? you can get those re-usable steriliser bags for the microwave, I'll be taking them when I go away.

Dionne that is for the USA hun. I think that's talking more about boiling water for the bottles too, I would keep sterilising just to be safe.

if u are going to carry on then why not just get some sterilizing fluid and put it into the washing up bowel or some thing only takes 15mins the sterilize if u get the milton one, its what iv always used

hummm

them two links i just posted from google have confused me now,

does any one no if u do have to sterilize at all??????

either way i will with my 2nd child too as it keeps the bottles looking nice and new too....
and i never rince washing up liquid good anough

Im also confused lol, I think Ill ask my hv about this (although there not much use probably make up some rubbish!)

Im staying in a villa so will have a microwave I didnt know you could get sterilising bags they sound easy enough

The thing about sterilising bottles is in relation to any bacteria from the milk which can multiply pretty quickly and could cause a bad stomach upset. In relation to toher thinbgs, once they are putting stuff in their mouths then I think you can relax on sterilising dummies so often etc

I rarely sterilise ellas dummy, only when its been on the floor in muck, the rest of the time I run it under water! I suppose she puts her fists in her mouth which have been everywhere and she puts bibs and blankets in her mouth and there not sterilised!

Seren puts her toys in her mouth which she has usually chucked on the floor. Whewn she is near the cat I worry in case I turn round and she is there with a tail sticking out of her mouth. They reckon that allergies are rising becauise we are too clean these days (obviously haven't seen my house lol)
