I've noticed that different sterilisers have different lengths of time in regard to how long the contents stay sterile for whilst left in the steriliser (with lid shut). My plan was to sterilise all my bottles in one go, remove them from the steriliser, fill with cooled boiled water, put lid on and then add the formula prior to each feed.
What I'm confused about is if the steriliser says the contents only stay sterile for say 3 hours with the lid shut, does that mean that once you take the bottles out you really should be using them immediately? I thought I could sterilise in the morning, fill with the cooled boiled water, put lids on and then they would be sterile for the rest of the day. Have I misunderstood?
Whats the longest you can leave them out of the steriliser with water in and lid on before you'd think about sterilising it again (if it hadn't been used)?
