Start of fertility tests.....help please!!!

A little confused this end......we are at the very start of having the tests....so my gp has sent me for initial blood tests. I have had my first one within 5 days of my period starting and now I have to go for my 21 day test. This is where I'm confused.....if the first day on my period is day 1 do I go for tests on day 21 exactly??? It's just the doctor has counted three whole weeks which makes me day 22???? Hope this makes sense!!!!

It all depends when you ovulate, the title day 21 is quite misleading. It should be 7 days after you ovulate to get accurate reading so you may need it earlier or later than day 21 depending on your ov day xx

Yes its to check your progesterone levels to see if you're ovulating. If its low or borderline don't worry too much but ask to get it done earlier or later depending on your cycle length. Mine was borderline but I don't ovulate on day 14, it tends to be on day 11-13 as my cycle is often less than 28 days.

I had the same, I had to test on days 2,3 or 4 and then again on day 21. The Doc said if Day 21 was a Saturday then test on the Friday. If day 21 was a Sunday then test on the Monday. So I don't think it's an exact thing. Day 22 will probably be okay, especially if your cycle is regularly 28 or 29 days.

Yes if its borderline they'll assume its just a few days out and tell you it was fine. I didn't realize mine was borderline until I went for the next appointment which was a bit upsetting but they do it not to worry you apparently!
