So here goes my birth story!

On Mother's Day 30th I went for dinner with my mam and was getting constant period type pains and aches throughout the day, I didn't really mention it to anyone as I didn't think it was out to get excited about!
Went to bed that night and woke up at 1am with light contractions but enough to wake me, they were coming every 5 minutes and lasting for 1.5 mins I managed to stay in bed then around 4am they got slightly stronger I got up around 5 and text my mam (big mistake she was round 15 minutes later!) I phoned the hospital and they said to take some paracetamol and see how I go, my contractions were coming stronger and so my mam insisted I go to the hospital although I was wanting to hold off as long as poss as I didn't want to be sent home....

Went to the hospital around 8am and was examined to be told I was 3cm to go home have a bath and come back when they were 3mins apart and longer,
I could have killed my mother!

Got home and instantly the contractions got stronger so I had a bath and walked round my house in agony contracting! My waters still hadn't gone
By 12 I was ready to go back to the hospital as I felt I needed gas and air, I was examined again and I was 6cm with bulging waters...

Went to delivery suite bounced on the ball for a while and had a right laugh with the gas and air it felt like heaven!
MW ran the bath for me and I laboured in there my OH and mam pulled up a chair and it was pretty chilled out, at about 3 my contractions intensified and the G&A wasn't really working anymore, my waters still had gone and I was feeling intense pressure I just wanted them to go!
I wasn't due an examination til 4 so wasn't sure how much I had dilated but started getting the urge to push,
I carried on with the contractions then started pushing around 3:45,
My waters only went when his head came out!
I gave birth to Stanley In the bath at 16:13 it hurt like hell and more than I imagined! I got a graze so I had a couple of stitches which stung like hell I also ended up with one pile! Lovely!
My OH and mam filmed the whole thing but I still refuse to watch it yet as it is still to raw! Haha

6 days later today I'm still slightly sore but getting there totally worth it and I would do it again tomorrow!
Here we are - Stanley is just perfect :D

Thanks everyone :)

Mel dexter is gorgeous.. I do think they look similar yeh! How strange :D all I wanted was for my waters to break as I thought it would ease the pressure! How did you get on with your hypnobirthing, to be honest a lot of mine went out the window! I couldn't breathe in the golden light or turn down the comfort dial haha.. It did help with my breathing though and I suppose I was pretty chilled and calm throughout though so guess it did help in that sense :) x

Oh my he's so cute! What a beautiful little family you are.

Great name! My granddad was called Stanley :)
