Charlie is still on stage 1 formula, how do I know when to change this to stage 2? x

I think they say from about 6 months hun - Damien onl has stage 2 mxed into food as he wont drink his reflux milk now. But I think they can stay on stage 1 if they are happy with it??

Thanks Sami, he doesn't seem like he needs to change, he eats a lot so milk is just an afterthought for him! x

i'm keeping Aimee on the stage 1 milk. She is almost 8 months now but she is happy on it and HV said its fine if they are happy on it.

Stage 2 seems to be an advertising ploy so the formula companies can get away with advertising it (they can't advertise milk for under 6 months). Just my personal opinion :D

Thats what I was told too. If baby is having a well balanced diet there is no need for them to go onto follow on milk.

I agree, Bex is going onto it soon!!!

but it is cheaper!

I guess that again (being cynical!) that's to do with advertising. They've got women over a barrel if they cannot breastfeed or chose not to as their babies HAVE to have stage 1 milk which is more expensive. Again just my opinion as I hate formula manufacturers and their advertising campaigns.
