spotting!

Hi all

I am new to this forum and new at being pregnant!

I am 8 and a half weeks and have had a very small red loss this morning on wiping. Now it is just a brown discharge. No pain just feelslike a slight ache! Had it at 6 and a half weeks too! had a scan then and shown a heart beat. Just wondering if anyone has had the same and should i be worried? The last two days my sickness has eased but i am not sure whether im just getting used to it as it was really bad!

Any advice would be appricated!

I really don't know. If you have the slightest worry then call your doctor or EPU.

Am sure it is just one of those things

I had this at 6 weeks but not since maybe its worth giving a midwife a ring ir an early pregnancy unit depending on which one u have.

if your really worried may be a trip to a&e will make you feel better.

Hi Honney,

It is very worrying to get any type of discharge or spotting.

I went through the same thing at 7 weeks. It was mostly just a light brown discharge after wiping. I contacted my EPU and was sent for an emergency scan. Saw the heart beat which put my mind at ease.

Then at 8 weeks I passed bright red blood with a hard black clott. Again I went to the EPU for another emergency scan. Everything was fine again but they took a swab just to make sure I had no infection.

Both times I really thought the worst, and am glad to say that I am now into week 13 with no more discharge, but have just started suffering very badly from morning sickness.

I hope my experience has helped in some way. But I really want to tell you if you are at all worried about anything contact your GP or EPU. They will be very understanding and supportive.

Please just go and get it cheched out.

I don't want to be negative, but I ignored the brown discharge symptom, and then found out weeks later, when I went for my 12 week scan, that I'd had a missed m'carriage - devastating.

I am preggers again, but after that experience I would advise anyone to get checked out if that happens.

Thanks for all your words of support! sorry not replied sooner i had internet probs!
Anyway i had a scan again all is fine! seen the heart beat again it was fab!
Unsure what is causing it but seems to have settled now!
It really does make time go really slowly waiting for 12 weeks to come!
