Spotting concerns advice

Hi everyone hope you are all well,

My wife is 16wks pregnant today and has been abit worried recenty due to slight small peachy pink coloured spotting. She went to hospital yesterday and the doc did a quick scan stating baby is fine and not to worry about this although its not a daily it started around a week ago.

Baby doppler shows a good heartbeat which cheers me up, we have a more in depth scan in 4 days just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. No pains or cramping thankfully.

Just a thought but could it be occurring after sex? Sometimes it can irritate the cervix a little and cause pink spotting.
