Spotting again

Hey girls well after my emergency scan after last weeks spotting I had no more blood, then last night as I was finishing work I went to the loo and had some brown discharge in my undies. Went straight to docs who very kindly fitted me in at the end of surgery. Spoke to a lovely female doc, she basically said that as it's still very early days it's difficult to say if it's a sign of a threatened miscarriage or not, particulary as brown discharge was the same thing I got when I miscarried last year. Work has been extreamly stressful over the last fortnight, yesterday being a very stressful day in particular which I'm sure hasn't helped. To make matters worse OH is away in Derby on a course until tomorrow night so I'm staying with mum & dad until then. Doc has signed me off work until the end of the week and has told me to completely rest.

Was due to have first booking in appointment with midwife today, rang her and she has said that she will call me again in the morning and if needs be send me up the EPU for another scan. Touch wood I have had no further spotting but today my boobs have not felt as sore and my nausea has disappeared which is making me doubly paranoid. Trying my hardest to stay positive and think what will be will be but it's hard x x

thanks honey. Luckily no cramping, a few twinges/strectching pains but nothing out of the ordinary, I guess it's just a waiting game really. Hope you're doing okay x x

Aawww hunny, brown is old blood, it was probally left over from the bleed you had last week. Im got everything crossed that everything is going to be just fine for you. Now go and do as your told and get resting massive sweetie x x

yeah....no pain = great news!!! it was the first thing to happen to me.....before any bleeding of any kind. you'll be fine i have a good feeling.....

i'm fine...feel loads better.........just want af to come then i can get my normal cycles back....hopefully!!!

thanks so much for your lovely replies ladies. Unfortunately I don't trust brown blood at all, for me it's almost worse as it the main sign I had last time when I got my MMC. However I do know it can also mean old blood too so have everything crossed. Luckily no more spotting since yesterday (touch wood!) spoke to midwife today who said given things have settled down she thinks that is a good sign so we will leave things for the time being, she has booked me into see her next Thursday to write up my notes take blood etc. In the meantime if I have any more bleeding I am to call my GP ASAP and get referred for a scan right away. Good news is boobs are hurting again today so hopefully that's a good sign. Glad to hear you're doing better samsgirl, hopefully AF will be on her way very soon x x x

Glad things are ok today, was worrying about you last night when i saw post, my boobs are less sore in the morning but by night time are agony, also had a few panics that they werent sore anymore but it always comes back

Ahh thanks DW & Nurse, feeling a lot more positive today. I think you're right with the boobs issue nurse, mine seem to be tender one minute then not so much the next so hopefully it's all normal. Yesterday I had some yellow discharge so wondering if perhaps I have a little infection. Being signed off for the last few days has done me the world of good, have caught up with my sleep and been taking in easy. OH got back from Derby last night, so lovely to have him home x x x

Glad you are signed off and having a rest. I've had yellow ish discharge form the miniute i had my BFP think its normal as long as it is not itchy or smelly. Mine is thick sometimes white sometimes yellowish

Bella2, I had a bit of spotting a few days ago (only 2 days before you actually). Brown, no cramps/pain. Had a scan one day after that, and everything was fine! Don't worry. There can be many reasons for brown spotting, and many women experience that.
