As for your financial situation, do you think phoning your local Citizens Advice Bureaux would do any good? I'm sure there's something you should be able to claim?

I would think there must be something. You might need to hunt around tho. There things come to mind but then I dont know your personal circs but its worth checking out

tax credits - you should try and work out your income for april 2007-april 2008. a sizable reduction in your income would surely make for an increase in your award.

benefits - a benefits take up officer from either your council (ours have them but some dont) or dwp should be able to advise you on benefits.

Im glad you are being looked after.

I am so grateful I have this support from everyone on here!!!
All your prayers mean so much to me.
You have all made this a lot easier to get through!!

Sorry I havent been on as much as I could have been...I will try and keep u all updated on everything, as much as I can!!!
I have got the next specialist meeting on Tuesday so I will let you all know how that goes.

Hey everyone

Specialist meeting went fine this morning. No major changes from b4 so all is good. His head is measuring a few weeks small but thats normal for a baby with spina bifida and he also weighs 1 pound 9 ounces. Its a little light the specialist said, but again not a major problem.

He was moving loads today...hes so active lately!!
Got a few good pics of the baby which was good and also got my notes home with me...so I was able to have a little nosey through them!

I also have to go and see a heart specialist who will do an ultrasound of the babys heart, I havent been given a date yet.

I went to see the midwife yesterday as my bp was up last week...but its fine now...just got another check-up with her next week.

The next scan is Tues 5th Feb, when I will be 29/30 weeks!!

OOOooo exciting... You'll be over in third tri by then... times really passed quick... I'm glad to hear he's doing so well and he's moving around loads... that's a really good sign..
