Spiders!

How weird they're in the news today! Last night I walked into the bathroom and what i thought was a snail was on the side of the sink. Got closer and it had legs
NO WAY was it a british spider, its arse was huge, neither me or DD had seen anything like it so i wanted to catch it to get a pic to find out what it was as it looked dangerous. OH fluffed the capture and ended up squashing it then he flushed it down the loo!

It was about an inch or so, scrunched up with a massive arse which was light coloured with a pattern i think in yellow/orange and had stripes on its legs. I didnt hang around to see it sretched out!

The shape of it was very much like the false widow spider

I'm absolutely petrified of them! I'm ashamed to say my kids take them outside for me cos I wont go near them

its funny isnt it how spiders just give us the creeps, even tho they are really clean, they kill dirty flies etc and spin beautiful webs! lol but i cant say im that fond of them either. i never kill them i glass/paper them and throw them outside. i am the spider-catcher in our house my boyf hates them!

I dont mind spiders, we have a pet one in the lounge, He came in one cold night, we think hes meant to be a garden spider who discovered the delights of indoors!
I keep telling him off for the cow webs he lives in the most silly of places but hes a good fly catcher so I cant moan!!

Sayin that when I was a teenager I hated them one night engrossed in a book sat at the dinning room table, I felt my long furred kitty brush over my foot, thinkin nothing of it, I put my hand down to stroke her I felt nothing so looked down and promplty ran screaming for the hills,
its was only a blinking hugemongus spider the size of 2 cup coasters sat there looking at me!! I cant belive I mistook it for my cute kitty!!! Stupid baby-storm!

You are brave to look closely at it! If I see one, I have to leave the room and not go back in there until its gone! I have to get my o/h to catch them and put them out side.

I picked up my swimming towel last week and something black fell in my hand. I was looking at it trying to work out what it was and suddenly it pinged open and it was a HUGE spider, I screamed, threw it acroos the room and legged it. DH picked it up with a glass and magazine then chased me telling me it had fangs .
