sorry to ask - but how long did you bleed for after birth ??

just wanted to ask how long everyone bled for after giving birth. Grace is nearly 3 weeks old and I am still bleeding - is that normal ???

Had an C. Section - does that make any difference ?

Pretty fed up with it now.......

I've just stopped bleeding and I had my c-section 6 weeks yesterday. Probably stopped round about the 5 and a 1/2 week mark.

I was still bleeding a little when i first flew back to England and Thea was 6 weeks old then. I didnt have a C section so i cant tell you if that makes a difference or not.

i bled for 2 days.. then i had a discoloured light d/c for about a fortnight

then 8 weeks later had a VERY VERY heavy period...

About 2 weeks for me, i had a natural delivery.

i bled for about 4 weeks, but it got less and less as time went on. it was a lot more noticable after i had expressed milk, are you breastfeeding or expressing i think this makes a difference.

i now just wearing a pantyliner( after 6 weeks) as just getting discharge hear and there as normal.

I bled for about 6 weeks (although it was quite light at the end so only needed panty liners) - had a natural birth with bi lateral labial tears (ouch) and stitches. Ah the joys.
Remind me why I want to do it again
