Hi

I need a bit of advise really, I gave birth a week ago and while it no longer (or hardly) stings when I have a wee I have noticed that by my erm top bit (if you know what I mean) seems to be really hurting, I cant get comfy when I sit :( anyone know what it is, or is it just that I am still healing?
Reason I ask is everything else seems to be fine and settled (ie AF nearly stopped, uterus cant feel) but its just the top that feels really sore, and it only started or I only noticed it yesterday?

thanks

You're still healing sweetie - I had no stitches but it still took 6 to 8 weeks for me to feel comfortable again.......totally normal, just think of the trauma your poor foo foo has been through!! :)

Hi

Never had a natural birth so wouldnt know but i would imagine its the same as a section and takes plenty of time ot feel its self again.

KatysMummy you made me laugh

I had the same thing hun. My clitoris (I'm assuming that's what you mean lol) was really sore about a week after the birth but everything else was starting to feel better.

My midwife said its because there was probably some internal bruising around that area. It settled down by the end of the second week.

I gave birth on the 18th Nov 06 and although the MW said I had a small tear she said I didn't need stitches. I have been in a lot of pain down there especially when going to the toilet for a wee or poo. I plucked up the courage to actually look down there yesterday and am sure I can see a small tear right at the bottom of my vagina before the perinium which I am assuming will heal on it own. I also have had a throbbing sometimes in my clitoris and am actually glad it is not just me. I wonder why we get this?

do u no wot, i cant remember any pain in had in labour in fact i cnt wait untill i go for another 1 (still going to wait tho one little horror is enough 4 now) but what puts me off is remembering the afterwards, i was so sore that i had to pee in the bath, funny site for Ian who wud stand and watch me dancin on the spot whilst runnin the bath so i could jump in and ... well u no ... do my thing, i never tore i grazed which still brings a tear to my eye thinking about it, sniff sniff, memories!

I couldnt even pee in the bath and I didnt tear have stitches anything!

well its now been over a month and it still hurts ok not as bad but it hurts, Im wondering could it maybe be an infection where I had to have a catheter because of epidural? any ideas as its really starting to annoy and it hurts on times :(

aww you shouldn't be in discomfort like this now so make an appointment at the doctors of phone your midwife.

Not alot of help but my foo foo took months to heal and to be honest is still not right down there 8 months on
As my doc said it took 9 months to get to the point of having a baby it'll take a good 9 months to get back to normal

My 'little man in a boat' still twinges sometimes too :(
