Hi all,

I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and have started to have trouble sleeping as my back is achy I have the tiniest bump so not sure why it is aching so much. Do you think a pregnancy pillow would help? Has any one else suffered with a bad back early on

I reckon a pregnancy pillow will help. When you're pregnant your body releases a hormone called relaxin which makes all your joints and cartilage move more freely. It can leave you more prone to aches and pains.
My back is awful at the moment but it was already bad before my pregnancy. Being pregnant is definitely making it worse though.

Thank you, will defintley look in to getting a pregnancy pillow just feel so uncomfortable may need to ask for a back pillow for work as well. Nice to know its normal though

Hey there,

I think getting back pain during pregnancy is completely normal. i had that too when i was about 20 weeks pregnant, SOOO many aches and sores all over. you could try getting a pregnancy pillow to ease you in and make things more comfy or if you feel like heading for a massage, i'll recommend a myotherapist.. this is a place that i went to ease my body pains, its called adaptive myotherapy i mean i slept better, had less morning sickness and just felt better overall after every session.. people there are just so great and helpful so if you ever think of giving it a try, go ahead. if the pillow works for you, even better! you'll be able to rest peacefully at home :)

good luck and hope you feel better soon xx
