Sounds crazy.. I know!

The last time I saw my midwife was a few weeks back and I wont be seeing her for another couple of weeks.. Obviously my last scan was 8 weeks ago.. I haven't seen a doctor or consulatant since sometime between first and second scan...

..it's such a strange feeling.. I don't really know anything.. like how baby is laying at the moment. I could try and guess but it's all pretty lumpy and bumpy down there.. only MW can tell me. I don't know if I'm too big or too small.. MW hasn't weighed or measured me at all.. I don't have a doppler.. could never really afford one.. always had something we had to pay out for.. *sigh* :(

I wish I could have another scan just so i can see how she is laying and what she's looking like now.. I couldn't afford to book a 4D scan.. the next 12 weeks or so are going to be agonising!! I don't have any hospital appointments through the post to see my consultant..

..I'm a little confused as to why I'm not really feeling very pregnant of late. I just feel tired and achey at times.. and of course theres this bump in front of me..

I feel awful :(

Try not to worry think everyones feels like this at times.

I didnt start to get measured till 28 weeks? so maybe you will get measured soon. we have a doppler too, and thats good if i havent felt baby move for a bit ! have a wee check and listen

MW still hasn't ever measured me she seems to do it by prodding rather than measuring. I think it is something to do with having older children the not feeling pregnant thing, I am sure like me you are busy with your son and don't have the same time to contemplate the pregnancy as you did first time round.

awh I hope you are ok hun

I went through this stage and got really upset about it all the time!!! So I know exactly what you mean!! Hopefully you will start to feel more pregnant soon

It is difficult when you don't see the MW for a long time. I found it very hard, they see me now more often because I was feeling very anxious/depressed due to loosing a baby @ 17 weeks plus I stopped taking anti-d's @ 5 weeks. Unfortunatley you are left for longer periods if its your 2nd/3rd pregnancy which I think is unfair, unless you comfy with it. My MW said sometimes women are left for 12 weeks before seeing a MW in subsequent pregnancies.

Just a couple of ideas, I measured myself to find out the fundal height using the guide in this link:

It's easy to follow with clear pictures showing you how to do it.

Secondly, call your MW and tell her how your feeling and ask to see her more often. The MW's I see are more than happy to see me, even the hospital I have chosen to give birth at has a day clinic where you can call and ask for advice and even go in just to hear the baby's HB to ease your mind. Do you have this option?

 hope this helps

I get days like this too.

Ive been lucky and got a 4d scan at about 29 weeks, my oh paid for it. However, i still have days where i feel "normal".

Maybe call the MW hun and ask to see her, im sure she wont mind.

Being 27 weeks are you not due a 28 week MW appointment where they do a glucose test too. maybe check and if not ask to see the midwife anyway tell them how you are feeling. if that fails is there a female GP at your DRs that you can go and see they will do the regular checks ie measuring, listening to HB to make you feel more reassured! I was feeling anxious last week but since my boy has moved around hes kicking so much and feel pregnant again.
