Soft Cervix

Hello Ladies,

Not sure if anyone has the cervix know how, but mine feels very soft. I was told by my midwife that it is supposed to be hard and closed and feel like the end of my nose, and as she was saying this I was thinking oh dear. I've just checked again and although it is quite high, it feels soft and jelly like, I can even feel the width of the gap that the mucus plug is in and would say it feels like if I push (not that I woud) my finger would fit inside. I don't make a habit of checking my cervix but felt for it the other day as I had a very faint sort of ache in that region and noticed it was like this. That was about 4 days ago and it is still the same. Does anyone know if this is cause to worry about. I am in the process of changing my midwife to an independent one so didn't want to call her yet if I can avoid it.

Does anyone have any knowledge of htis sort ofthing?

i'm not positive hun, but i'm sure it's normal for it to feel quite soft just now, but i would mention it to your m/w next time you see her. have you checked it before and was it different?

Maybe speak to your midwife when u see her next
