Soft carrycots...

Are soft carrycots any good?

I have just been looking at pushchairs today and the solid ones seem heavy and bulky.

Has anyone had a soft one? Is it easy to carry, could it be danderous to carry around incase i bash it? Also could it be used like a moses basket if I wasnt at home and wanted to put the baby somewhere to sleep?

Am not sure what you mean by a "soft" carrycot, but we had one of those travel systems that's a pushchair, car seat & pram and we used the pram bit on a stand as a Moses basket (we bought another mattress for it) for about 5 months for our daughter. She seemed to do ok in it.
