So Emily is back to normal! Such a happy girl and going to bed at 7 :-). The problem is she is waking at 5am every morning and will not go back to sleep. I've tried EVERYTHING!!!

Rob is away this weekend so its just me. I'm so utterly exhausted :-(. I'm sitting here crying because I'm so tired :-(

I've not really got any suggestions, will she nap later? I've been up since the back of 2 but LO is busy sleep talking.

and :hugs: it all feels like a huge big mountain when you're that tired

Yep, she will nap in a bit bit it's just such a ridiculous time to get up. On the days I go to work, I can't nap when she does. X

Have you blackout blinds/curtains in her room? I put a roller blackout blind in and although some light gets in at the edges it has stretched G's waking up time to closer to 0630.
I'm still up once a night feeding him, usually around 0300 so feeling your pain with the tiredness.

I don't think that's the problem as when she is waking it's still dark? X

Haven't got any suggestions Hun sorry just wanted to say I know how you feel. A wakes about 4 thinking it's time to get up but he usually goes back to sleep within an hour ao I get another couple hours before he needs fed but last night he woke at 2 and we've been awake since :(

I know it might not be due to hunger but could you do a dreamfeed at about 4? You'd still have to get up but if it tricks her into sleeping a bit later it might be worth doing?

Is there any way you can keep her up later, so she sleeps later? I know it's easier said than done, but maybe worth a try? X

Thanks girls. Zazu, that doesn't work. We tried it earlier in the week, kept her up an extra hour and she still woke up at 5! Becky, I know for a fact she's not hungry but I wonder if a dream feed Is worth a try?? But at the same time, I don't want her to like that and want a feed every morning at that time?????

aw no I feel for you I really do Ellie used to wake at 4am and that was her to 7am!!! but I started doing a dreamfeed at midnight and she goes to half 7 now, works for some but might not be an option for you xx

My oldest had that at about the same age, it lasted a few weeks/ a month (can't remember now) and then he just grew out of it. Hope it's just a short phase for you!!

oh no! Just another hour would make such a diference and stop you feeling like you got up in th emiddle of the night! Owen decided to get up at 5 this morning too! needed milk :( this is after 12.30 am 7oz bottle! and 4 7oz during day, he wont take any more milk in the day!!!! I am feeling your tiredness today too :)

Paige is slowly coming out of this. She went through a phase of waking up even as early as 4! I was mortified. She didnt wake up until 6am today though, oh it was bliss. I usually give her a bottle when she wakes up but when she woke up early I refused to give her a bottle until after 6 in the hope she might think, well I might as well sleep until 6 then. Tbh, I think shes naturally going to wake up at the time she wants to, whatever time I give her a bottle.

Hope she gives you a lie in soon!

We had similar problems with Ava-Mai although she was waking between 3-4 am!
We have had to do controlled crying with her for her normal bed time and just carried it through. Because she did both at the same time she was fine with in 3 days!

I know some people don't like this technique and will be harder for you as Emily already has a routine but could be worth a try maybe??

i can't really offer anything else as this was our last resort!

Hope all works out for you both soon, i can relate to the tiredness!

 got no ideas but thought you needed the hug xxx
