So sick of family assuming the gender of my baby

I don't understand why you are so offended? This is such a nothing issue and you are better off occupying your mind on something more positive .

Not trying to be rude, just don't understand why this is worth getting worked up over?

My husbands side of the family is also predominantly boys and he has 2 boys from a previous relationship. You can imagine how much he is longing for a little princess but everyone predicted from day 1 that I am pregnant with a boy. My own instincts told me it is a boy from the moment I got pregnant.

It is a boy. No big deal.

with my in laws there is always the underlying cultural thing that a boy is better than a girl, especially a first born is supposed to be a boy. We had a girl first and when we had a boy last year MIL said to OH "Arent you proud now you have a son" He said "I was proud when I had a daughter thanks mum!"

Now i'm pregnant with a girl and BIL/SIL have just announced their pregnancy and if it's a boy I know it will be seen ,(even if they deny it consciously) as more successful....but hey ho.

Gender can be a sensitive area

I wouldn't get upset about.. let people say what they want to say..

As long as you and baby are healthy..

Many are desperate to have kids and are unable to or are seeking treatment etc.. just think of them and you will realise you are very blessed ❤

This debate is causing great fun in my family, even though my husband and I have no clue or preference. Don't let it annoy you, let them have their fun and you can just be happy in the knowledge your baby is safe and growing healthily in your tum :) x

Actually I can see how this can annoy you... When I was pregnant with my first, my mum would say 'you are having a boy' and she would keep saying that, made me feel like she really wanted a grandson (which is ok) but also put unnecessary pressure on me. I had a girl and her granny loves her more than anything in the world.

I am now pregnant with my 2nd and first think my mum said when I told her was ' this one is a boy!'. It's maybe nothing but it pissed me off so much. I don't mind people guessing for fun and leaving it at that but some just keep going on and on about it x

I'm so glad its not just me getting annoyed.

Every time I see a family member then presume to tell me what sex it is.
One in particular who keeps saying its a girl and she is never wrong about anything is really annoying me.
