Have just finally managed to get organised enough to start washing baby's stuff - can't believe how much I have got! Have filled one whole machine with lights and have another big lot of mixed colours. These are all just newborn or 0-3 months as haven't got the room to store anything further ahead!

The thing is I really haven't even gone mad with the buying, just the basics of sleepsuits and vests plus a few cardies, a coat and some blankets - guess I'm just amazed at how much stuff they need, lol.

It was great to get everything out of the packs - everything is so lovely! I have such good taste, ha ha!!Can't wait to see him in all his little outfits!! My son is going to be the best dressed boy in Sheffield, lol

Aww that's lovely! I enjoyed getting mine all out of the packets too - just need to get it all washed now as well! x

awww how cute, Im still struggling with buying things i eother see nothing i like or i think everything looks to warm for him as ive convinced myselfe its going to be roasting when he born lol xxx

The washing I can cope with - it's the ironing I'm dreading!! Am not much of an ironer at the best of times but at last want to start out with the best of intentions, lol xx

Ironing!! I've not ironed any of my lil girls clothes.... Whoops!!

She's still the best dressed girl in Sheffield :) big up Sheffield!!

I don't mind sticking stuff in the washing machine but hanging stuff to dry and ironing I hate........maybe I'm just lazy.

HA! ironing... i remember when i had my little girl 4 years ago i even ironed the little popper vests and sleepsuits... that lasted until all the ironed ones had been used and never were they ironed again! i love my tumble drier now - get all the clothes out while it's still warm, fold it neatly and it doesn't need ironing!!

I think that's the approach I'm gonna adopt! x

I gave away my tumble dryer a few weeks ago to someone on freecycle, a bit gutted about that but there's just no room in the new house. It's a good size but very little storage space.

im exactly the same! All the shops seem to have just tons of baby blue stuff for boys which i think its a bit old fashioned. Ive got a few bits but nowhere near enough!

And i also worry constantly abut him being too hot which is ridiculous being as im only 29 weeks and hes not even here yet lol! I keep going in to check the temp of his room because im worried its going to be too warm in there x

I cant wait to see all my baby things.. i cleverly sent them all to my mums so shes already washed dried and ironed them all for me :D I hate ironing but actually loved ironing my sons baby things.. I cant stand unironer clothes so they all have to be done ....
Its amazing how much they need though :D

My little man has hardly any blue stuff - only a coat that I bought and 2 sleepsuits that my sis bought. All the rest is gorgeous multi - coloured stripy, or white or neutral with multi colour prints - so much nicer than boring plain blue!! Mothercare has some lovely sets of sleepsuits and vests in multi colours :-) xx

yeah thats the sort of stuff i like. Me and OH are very lucky to know a couple who had a baby 3 months ago who was 10lbs3 when he was born (ouch!) and they are loaded and very fashion concious - theyve given us loads of little ralf lauren and other designer baby stuff its gorgeous!

I like mothercare stuff too but its expensive isnt it? x

I guess it is a little expensive, especially for single items 'off the rails', but the packs of sleepsuits are £14 for a pack of 3 and at buy one get one half price right now - so I bought 2 packs which was £21 which works out at £3.50 per suit - not bad :-) Same offer is on their packs of vests which are £11.50 for 1 pack of 7, so 2 packs is £17.25 and works out at £1.24 per bodysuit!! So buy 2 packs of each and that's you sorted for a while really :-) That's all I've done!! Plus a few extra treats here and there that I couldn't resist xxx

aww thats good i didnt realise they were on offer atm, will have to drag OH down there this week! :-)

I feel as though I've hardly got anything. Am going to drag OH to the shops to get some bits and bobs.
Strangely enough, normally I can't stand doing the ironing, but am looking forward to washing and ironing all my baby's clothes. I think it's because I love looking at them!!
I've only bought white or multi coloured items so far as I'm still not sure what we are having until we have our 4d scan next week. Can't wait to find out for sure so I can finally get him or her some outfits!
