I really want to be able to crack this part of tracking but I can't seem to get my head around it!

Today I'm cd10 and having lots of damp feeling so decided to check and I'm not sure of in doing it wrong but there isn't enough to fully decide what type.

It's like a thin watery cream glue which falls into 3 categories!!!

Looking online people have loads of it to see.

Sorry am I being dim? Is there a technique

(This is so Tmi land - sorry!)

I have read so much about CM. Some say creamy is a positive sign! Some say watery leads to AF. Then some say being dry is a good sign too!
I basically gave up, cause there is no definite answer to any of this. I am mostly dry ( 8dpo), some slight creamy cm this evening.

You shoud usually have EWCM up until OV, this is to assist the sperm to the egg and is the best home for them to wait in until OV.

Once OV has occured youd usually dry up, and after OV until AF/pregnancy it goes white. Usually if pregnant the more CM will produce in early pregnancy. If AF is due CM normally stays white and minimal.

Everyones CM varies. To check, if you cant instantly feel insert two fingers and slightly twist and bring them out usually you will have got a coating of CM on your fingers to assess consistency.

Depending on hormone your CM will be different, the above is average and "by the book" which some womens cycles dont fall into?

I have the ovia app which lets me record daily my consistency either EWCM, clear and watery, like school glue or nothing. Which is a big help for comparing. The app does it for you what normal for you or not.

I needed assistance with CM first time TTC after coming off of hormonal implant as the contraceptive hormones can affect your mucus. I used C+ which worked first time for us. Since having a baby and remaining off of hormonal contraceptive my cycles and CM are fine and by the book.

Ladies do fall pregnant without necessary CM however some do benefit from assistance such as EPO, C+ or preseed.
