Snowboarding anyone?

I was just wondering if any of you girlies here go snowboarding? I often go to Xscape nr Leeds.

never been but it's definately something i'd like to try is it at an indoor place?

I learnt when I was younger but fell over and fooked my back up. I wasnt very good at it anyway lol

Yeah it's an indoor place with real snow. There's also lots of other things to do there like rock climbing, bowling, skatepark....plus loads of food places and boarding shops.

I went yesterday, still sore lol.

sounds like fun.. where is it? Might get OH to go there in summer for a day just for something different. Do you need experience or do they teach you?

We go to Castleford nr Leeds but there is one in Milton Keynes too. Think there's 3 actually. They say you need to be able to link turns to ride otherwise you have to have lessons on the slope first.

We normally go to Italy twice a year but haven't been this year as i don't think it fair to take LO yet. OH is going to Austria with his brother in march tho without me

Aw, I know I got left behind when I was pg, OH went to France. We just got back from Scotland and we put LO in creche while we went up the mountain! Was great. Do you live anywhere near the indoor slopes?

Yeah we're about 40 mins away from castleford. Before we had LO we would go there and stay the night in the hotel across the road it really good night life there

the found my love of snowboarding when i worked in the French Alps Flaine
It is wonderful the feeling of bombing it down the mountains on fresh powder 8) 8) 8) 8)
almost as good as sex

i miss it like mad
went to andorra last year but there was no snow at all just fake powder

ld LOVE to go back to Verbier the snow and the runs where fantastic dream
But its was out of my price range

would love to try the Milton Keayns snow place ive heard its great bit pricy though.
how much does it cost?

Yeah it is a bit expensive, about £25-£30 for 2 hours.More for us with having to travel, but hey, we don't do much else! It's nice to have the opportunity to go on real snow x
