My OH was laughing his ass off today cos we went into town and there seemed to be loads of pregnant woman bout and you just automatically smile or speak (well i do) he's like "your in a special secret club" :rotfl: i said its only like bikers who nod to eachother as they pass. But were secretly thinking Do you wee when you sneeze :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

also noticed keep checking out everyones pushchair but then saw him doin it too :rotfl: just thought i'd share a humourous moment and check that you are all doin it too and i'm not seriously unhinged

I stil look at other people's bumps now
and everytime a pram goes past i have to look :D

I think its nice how all pregnant women seem to stick together :)

lol - i did this too
Although once when I was heavily pregnant - i was in superdrug with my OH as he was getting some deoderant for a mate(he was on leave from the falklands and his made out there had given him a list of things to take back for him!) and some random lady came over to talk to me - she had a young daughter - but was still talking like 10 mins later!!! I was stood there nodding away thinking f off you weirdo!!!! OH and I couldn't get a word in edgeways and she wouldn't leave!!

Me too! There's just this knowing smile! And I always want to know how far along they are and compare bump size too!

I'm not as bad as my friend, she likes to guess how old babies are and will go up and ask the Mum, I've told her not to, they always look slightly panicked as if she's going to steal it!

yea i dunno how pregnant women down here can wear their tops smaller than their belly. this was actually on loose women last week and i thought the same thing. went tescos and thsi women had her big preg belly poking out and same when i goto town. dunno how their comfy like that plus it dont look too good neither. i buy clothes to cover up and protect baby especially from sun.

Yeah i dont mind tight tops but got have some coverage!! Yesterday this preg lady had a top on looked like she'd bought it from Adams it was so small her belly was sticking out really bad and absolutly covered in bad stretchmarks (did feel sorry 4 her bout this) but then she bent over to try some shoes on  she had a massive thong on that was right up her back and it was pants in wash colour and it was gross :puke: sorry just thought i'd share that lovely vision :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: the best bit was my OH just standing :talkhand: shaking his head and looking at me :rotfl:

I don't know about you but I find it's pretty difficult to find nice clothes to cover HEAVILY pregnant women. All the nice t-shirts I have are now too short - it's like heavily pregnant women are not allowed to wear nice t-shirts - we must all wear smocks...!!

Any suggestions? I'm getting by with a long vest underneath t-shirts which keep me covered and luckily it's cold in my office so I'm still wearing jumpers to work. I don't want to spend much as I've not long to go, but summer's coming........

I find myself checking out buggys too  It does seem now that I'm pregnant I notice loads of women are pregnant but I'm sure that's just because I'm more aware now, but I don't pee when I laugh

As for the t-shirt thing, you can buy belly bands in all colours and designs which means you can wear your fave t-shirt but also keep bump covered if you like :)

Hmm - belly bands sound like a good idea - I haven't seen any around though I haven't bought any maternity clothes for months.

Where do you get them from?

The cost varies but a Google search will bring up lots of options, depends if you want a designer one or not and I suppose the more expensive ones will be better tailored?

Here's some from ebay;

There's the type for support but then there's the less tailored band for fashion. They do seem quite simple to make, I first got one free from a pregnancy magazine, and it's literally a piece of fabric that's stretchy, in a band shape.

I really hope you find they work for you

i think i would smile at a fellow pregnant woman, although unlike u i dont seem to be seeing many! there was one in shuh awhile ago when i had a cup of ice cubes and was merrily crunching them, she looked like she'd kill me for them!

Well theres quiet a pregnancy boom where i live, me and another in my street, two in the next street, and one down the road. One got a little boy and i think i'm next, i feel really sorry for all the sleepless nights the neighbours are gonna suffer where they're all here :D

I've found myself checking out prams too :)

I haven't seen that many other pregnant mums but there are 2 who travel on the same train as me sometimes. I generally do give them a sympathetic smile especially if the train is packed.

Hi

I do the same think when i see other pregnant people and i also look at all the neat strollers whcih helped me decide on the one i wanted
