Smilie face, hooray!

We did the Ovitrelle trigger shot last night and it’s worked already! It went from a very faint line yesterday straight to a proper dark line and smilie today, hooray!

I probably haven’t been ovulating properly after being on the pill for so long and only occasionally got a positive OPK until starting clomid in September. It was so exciting finally getting positives but then when we did IUI last month I didn’t get one which was so disappointing. The nurses said I probably did ovulate but just didn’t detect the surge, but it was horrible being uncertain and the IUI didn’t work.

This time I didn’t want to take any chances so opted for the injection, even though I hate them! But it was absolutely fine and I feel so relieved that it worked. I know the hormones are synthetic but as long as they do their job, that’s fine!

It’s amazing how a little smilie face just changes my mood so drastically!
