Smep....anyone?

Hey ladies.....just wondering if anyone else is doing the SPERM MEETS EGG PLAN this month or has done it in the past with success and how long it took?

Would be great to hear some success stories to give us all hope

Were also using pre-seed this cycle for the first time so really hope we get our bfp!

So we started this on Wed...being CD8...bd on CD8, cd10, cd 12(at a wedding tomoorw tho so have to ge t a BD in at some point! lol and Ive just done my daily opk and its a lot stronger today so predicted Ov is tomorrow so looking on track so far........fingers crossed!! xxx

For those who havent hear of it heres the short version of what it is and how it works...(apparently)

The Plan
Short Version:

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Buy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Begin ovulation testing on Day 10[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Skip one night, then do one last "try"[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Take a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]If your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Statistics coming in from women who write me show that about 40% of post-miscarriage women will get pregnant on the first try if they are faithful to the plan, about double the number of the normal population who are not on the plan. This assumes, of course, that you waited for a normal cycle to begin after your loss, and did not begin trying before having a period after a miscarriage. Many women do not ovulate in that first cycle.[/FONT]

Yeah Kaz trying everything we can atm.....lol! Yes hopefully she will behave herself and get you your BFP too....everything crossed for us all xxxx

We were going to try this plan this month, but OH seems to hav found a very high sex drive somewhere this month and we hav been BD everyday since the left. Fingers crossed he can keep it up at least until ov. Then we will be trying this method next month along with the pre-seed i just ordered. How long did your pre-seed take to arrive Wilma, from fertility plan on ebay. Hoping it might be here before i ov so i can use some this month.

Mine was here the very next day!

Not sure if I will try this or not because I haven't ever had a dark opk in the last two cycles.
Been trying for every day this week but hubby couldn't manage it last night as be was tired - but to be fair I was falling asleep by 10pm!
I'm hoping that ov was Thursday but I can't spot it on my chart and didn't get ewcm so not sure what to think!
Will continue with every other day for the rest of the month though. Fingers crossed x x

Hello, we have done this this month... currently on day 17... skipped last night after hopefull OV so suppose we should tonight... but feeling a bit zzzzz,

we did miss a day as well the day after i had EWCM so am not holding out any hope.... but we shall see....

My Pre-seed came either tha day after or the 2nd day after I ordered it..cant remember now but was very fast they are always really good at getting stuff posted out.

I got a darker OPK today so almost sure I will get my dark line tomorrow Im usually spot on for predicted Ov dates...but I tell you my left side ov is twingeing so much atm....very noticable...so im hoping its getting ready to shoot out ethel egg so she can wait in the firing line for all those swimmers....lol

We WILL be on the may BFPs list...lol xxx

We are starting the SMEP tonight. I'm on CD10 but couldnt BD b4 then because OH was ill. I am starting OPKs tomorrow also so fingers crossed i get an idea of what is going on with my cycle and if i am actually ov.

Good luck to the rest of you ladies and heres hoping we get lost of SMEP and preseed BFPs!!!

I'm on Clomid and we do SMEP just to make sure we never miss it. I ovulated on my first cycle of clomid and got a bfp (although I later mc) so that's 100% success rate for me since thats my first ovulation in 4.5 years since I conceived my son!

That's the plan I followed the month I fell pregnant so I would say definately give it a go!!!
