smear test?

Ive just found out Im preganant but ive never had a smear test, sounds terrible but never got around to it? Will they ask me this at doc appt, will I need to have one while pregnant?

I don't think they like to do them when pregnant unless absolutely necessary. They will probably get you at your 6 week post birth check though. That's when they got me!

I had one in May and am supposed to have a repeat this month. Do you think they will leave it a couple of months until the pregnancy is more established?

I have mine every year since a dodgy result and was supposed to go in Sept but they couldn't fit me in before my wedding. Came back from Honeymoon PG and mentioned this to Dr and she said don't worry it's fine we'll do it after you've have the baby. Grrrrreat!

I figure what goes on down there during birth means a smear straight after will then be a drop in the ocean (no pun intended).

I was due to have mine this month but my midwife said I should wait until after the birth.

Never had one and I'd preferably like to keep it that way, but I suppose after giving birth, having something or someones hand inside you is a doddle.
