Tegans infant carrier is getting to heavy for me to carry so i wanted to get a 0+ Proper car seat. i bought one yesterday from Argos and its to big and doesn't fit on the seat properly! i've got a ka can anyone recommend a car seat? x

I've got an Aygo so will have similar problems when Evelyn grows out of her Maxi Cosi Cabrio... Mothercare sometimes have those free car seat fitting tents outside store. May be worth taking it to them?

I have a britax one that fits so well but I can't remember the name of it, it's just a plain black one x

i got rid of my ka partly for this reason, the rear seats curve round slightly at the side and i heard it makes it difficult to fit the car seats in it, that stage car seat i think only come in big bulky sizes, but hopefully someone will recommend 1 for you :) x

Go to a big mothercare and ask if you can test them out in the car x

Im nowhere near a big mothercare and i really can't afford to get another car how ever much id love to! x

any mothercare does car seat fitting if they sell them i think, look on mothercares website and see if they do it at ur local store. if not halfords? they try them there too x

Im going to Halfords next week. if not i might see if i can trade in my car bit extreme but i want something different now lol! x

it should do, there is quite a thick removeable padded insert for babies under 5.5kg which looks nice and snug. Cahal was already over 7kg when we got it so that bit's not been used but it does say suitable for newborns. So far so good with this seat, Cahal just falls asleep so is obviously nice and comfy lol!

I've got a ka too, I recently upgraded Cahal's seat to a Britax First Plus - I checked it fitted OK in the car before I bought it from toys r us but they wouldn't fit it again once I'd paid - stupid eh?! Anyways I got it home, fitted it myself and then took it to Halfords who checked it for me and said it was fine :)

lol, that's OK! I haven't put it in the front at all, but it fits in the back OK.

I've got the Silvercross Halo travel system so the car seat from that went in the front of the car but he's outgrown it which is why I've now got the Britax. I'll admit it was a struggle to find something that fitted easily in the boot, and the Halo wouldn't ordinarily be my first choice, but on the whole it's a good buggy and I'm happy using it. Cahal is certainly very comfortable and it feels really sturdy and safe. The car seat that came with it (Silver Cross Ventura) took a bit of practising to get it to fit with the ka's stupidly short seatbelts but it went in the front and back seats with a bit of huffing and puffing lol!

I've got a mamas and papas pilko prammette and it won't fit In the boot! i didn't think id be using my car much But now oh has to drive to work so i have no choice i have to put one of the back seats down to fit the Pram In though! its really good to know about the car seat and i agree the seat belts are stupidly short x

I was wondering this as i have a 106 and oh has a mondeo so we need one that fits in both!!

I take the rear parcel shelf out when i put my pram in the car!!!
