Mills was just weighed and is still under her birth weight, here's the development so far:
Birth 3485g (7lb 10 0z)
5 days 3170 g (7 lb)
18 days 3240 g (7 lb 2.5 oz)
25 days 3367 g (7 lb 6.5 oz)
She's feeding a lot and poos a lot, so I don't know what's going wrong. She's alert and happy and active and the health visitor says she's not too concerned yet and I should keep going with the demand feeding and maybe chat to the breastfeeding councellor wether she has any ideas what we can do to improve weight gain. Health visitor says it might be that she's just a naturally light weight baby.
The head circumference gain is spot on according to the growth chart, we haven't measured her length today, but last week it at 18 days it was the same as at birth - 51 cm
Does anyone else have a baby with similar development, or ideas what I can do to help her gain more weight? I know that the health visitor told me there's no reason to worry yet, but all I hear is the "yet" iykwim...
